our board
Let's get Pader baking.
Stacey Nelson, her idea & won't quit
A woman of many titles, none more important than humanitarian. She's also an attorney. An NCAA pitcher. Stacey visited Pader in 2011, and has since been working tirelessly to bring this idea to life. Pader's champion. Our leader.
Ricky Richard Anywar, Friends of orphans
A man of incredible courage, who himself was twice enlisted by the LRA. He went on to establish Friend of Orphans in 1999, during the middle of the war, and still leads the fundraising and rehabilitative school to this day. He lives with his wife and three children in Kampala.
John Boscoe, FRIENDS OF ORPHANS
John Boscoe holds a degree in Public Administration. He runs the day-to-day operations of Friends of Orphans, and is aiding Bake for Peace in progress reports and field supervision during construction. He looks forward to starting a family in Pader, despite being a self-proclaimed "old man."
Joel Serot, Development
Joel is a conduit for help and change, he's been working as a non-profit professional since finishing his degree. He organizes our outlandish ideas and breeds them to fruition. And if you can't find him scouting event spaces, look for him in a remote corner of the world exploring trails less travelled.
KATY LEDUC, 1ST RECRUIT & FILMMAKER
Katy's behind-the-scenes talent aims to capture the moments we experience with our friends in Pader, to share it with you firsthand. So you can be there with us every step of the way.
Hannah Robinson, International Everything
Hannah's a lawyer too, specializing in aide for genocide victims in Cambodia and Guatemala. Law, farming, and victim advocacy is merely the tip of the iceberg. Hannah's got artistic talent in singing and painting too, but don't tell her I told you that.
Charles Obaaita, FRIEND OF ORPHANS
No one is more dedicated to Friends of Orphans' mission than Charles. His greatest joy is counseling the students and alumni and he maintains a very large network in the community. He resides in Pader with his six children.
ellen ford, The most excited
A writer at heart and construction manager by trade. She brings jokes to every meeting and enthusiasm that exhausts everyone else.
